About me

Health systems strategist exploring AI-augmented research

Maisoon is a Senior Advisor at The Global Fund with more than a decade of experience leading and advising large-scale health initiatives across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Asia Pacific. Trained in medicine and health policy, she helps strengthen health systems by identifying programmatic risks and designing resilient, sustainable solutions in fragile contexts. She works with governments, multilateral organizations, and civil society to shape impactful programs that advance universal health coverage. Passionate about equity and sustainability, she builds partnerships, mobilizes resources, and creates collaborative frameworks that empower communities and improve access to essential services. Today, she is applying generative AI to accelerate research workflows, synthesis, and communication while keeping rigor, ethics, and inclusion at the core.

About the course

Generative AI for Work & Research — Overview

An immersive, 8-week live cohort (≈2 months) focused on practical, no-code AI tools for automating research tasks, analyzing data, and communicating results. The bootcamp blends live workshops, hands-on assignments, and a capstone showcase.

Assessment

Online quizzes (15%), workshop assignments (35%), attendance & participation (10%), final project (40%). Passing grade: 80% (attend ≥ 5 workshops).

Modules

Module 1 — Websites, Documents & Presentations

Create structured research documents (Markdown, LaTeX, HTML), build simple sites, and design clear slides with AI assistants.

Module 2 — AI-Automated Data Analysis

Analyze datasets, transform files, and generate automated reports/dashboards using tools like ChatGPT Code Interpreter and Julius.

Module 3 — GenAI for Research & Text Analysis

Accelerate literature review, classification, sentiment analysis, summarization, and knowledge mapping for large text corpora.

Module 4 — Custom GPTs & Chatbots

Design assistants with context windows, RAG, and knowledge base integration; prototype task-specific chatbots.

Module 5 — AI for Task Automation

Set up email/response automations, browser-control agents, and multi-step flows to offload repetitive research tasks.

Module 6 — Communication & Outreach

Produce research summaries, figures, diagrams, and explanatory videos; schedule content with promptable workflows.

Module 7 — Capstone & Showcase

Iterate with coaching, present your final project, and field Q&A from peers/guests.

Grading & Attendance

Your final grade combines quizzes (15%), assignments (35%), attendance/participation (10%), and a capstone (40%). Minimum passing score: 80%. Attend at least five workshops for full attendance credit.
